My name is Maurizio Pecorari, born in 1961 and living in the province of Parma, Italy. I am a decorative art painter: I trained at the Istituto d'Arte Paolo Toschi in Parma and later at the Accademia di Brera in Milan, where I studied painting and drawing under masters Luciano Ugoletti, Beppe Devalle, and Luciano Fabro, art history under Luciano Caramel and Tommaso Trini, and aesthetics under Francesco Leonetti.
I took part in the restoration of the Baptistery of Parma (Benedetto Antelami) and the dome of San Giovanni in Parma (Antonio Allegri, known as Correggio).
During my years of training in Milan, I often visited the Pinacoteca di Brera, the Ambrosiana, and the Cenacolo, drawn to the paintings and drawings of Leonardo da Vinci. Many years later, that fascination gave rise to the research I share on this site: a semantic reading of Leonardo's works — rebuses, anagrams, hidden constellations — which has produced two published books and an ongoing body of research that continues to this day.
